At Buckeye Foot Care we offer a wide range of aesthetic treatments that offer patients solutions to conditions that affect their daily lives. Read on to learn more about some of these cutting edge Aesthetic Treatments available to patients in the Cleveland area:

Stiletto Lift™

Although very fashionable, high heels can be painful to wear due to your weight concentrating on the balls of the feet instead of evenly distributing throughout the soles. With regular wear, the fat cushion on the balls gets pushed out of the way causing the bone underneath to get irritated.

Using a filler, Dr. Kimmel will make injections into the balls of your feet to restore volume and cushioning. The filler will also help your body produce natural collagen to further help cushion your soles long-term. A numbing agent is administered to ensure the injections are painless. This procedure can help relieve the pain you experience wearing high heels while letting you maintain your fashion style!

Botox for Hyperhidrosis of the Feet

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes your feet to perspire heavily and excessively, and as a side effect may produce an unpleasant odor. An effective method of treating hyperhidrosis is Botox injections, which block the nerves that signal the sweat glands to activate. There are very minimal side effects and results last about 4 months.

Spider Vein Treatments

Having spider veins on your legs can be a major setback in your confidence and limit your wardrobe choices due to the constant struggle to hide them. Spider veins are smaller blood vessels, usually red, purple or blue in color, that are easily visible through the skin but are not raised.

There are many factors that cause these unsightly veins including genetics, weight, the use of birth control pills, hormonal influences during pregnancy and menopause, and occupations that require prolonged standing. Spider veins may affect circulation in the legs resulting in tiredness, achiness, heaviness and even (albeit rarely) blood clots.

At Buckeye Foot Care we are on the cusp of the latest and most innovative procedures to eliminate spider veins.

KeryFlex Nail Restoration

Buckeye Foot Care is excited to offer KeryFlex, an amazing product that allows you to show off beautiful, natural-looking nails while your own nails grow back. Buckeye Foot Care can help you get rid of unsightly toenail fungus and have you wiggling your toes for all to see in no time!

What is KeryFlex?

KeryFlex™is an aesthetic product that covers unsightly toenails and helps restore damaged nails (where 30% of your natural nail already exists). It may also be used in conjunction with oral, topical, and laser treatments for onychomycosis (fungal infection of the toenail). KeryFlex is a non-porous barrier, which helps prevent moisture and fungus from reaching the natural nail. It is a permanent polymer that cannot be easily removed from the nail. KeryFlex was created just for toenails, and it bends and moves with your feet so that you may continue your active lifestyle while keeping beautiful-looking nails.

Who should consider KeryFlex?

KeryFlex is an excellent product for those with any of the following: toenail fungus, brittle nails, split or splitting nails, spoon-shaped nails, nails with horizontal ridges, discolored nails, and nails whose shape has changed due to an injury.

How is KeryFlex made and how does it work?

Your podiatrist or his or her nail technician creates KeryFlex much in the same way a sculptured nail is made in a salon. It is made within 15 minutes.

Once the nail bed has been prepared and the nail debrided, KeryFlex Bond is brushed onto the nail plate and nail bed. KeryFlex Resin builds up in the nail and allows for the sculpting and contouring of the nail. Then, KeryFlex seal is applied after the modeling process has been completed. Finally, ultraviolet light hardens the substances within 2 minutes.

How long are typical KeryFlex treatments?

Because KeryFlex is a permanent polymer, you should be prepared to commit to your KeryFlex treatment. The polymer will remain attached to your nail(s) for at least 6-9 months until your new, natural nail grows enough to replace the KeryFlex nail. It will be very important for you to keep your appointments as scheduled for the treatment to be successful.

Why is KeryFlex a better option than having a salon create a sculptured nail?

KeryFlex is a non-porous and flexible material, whereas salon products are porous and inflexible. Salon products thus may allow fungi to reach your nails, and they are less comfortable. If you try to run or walk or if you jam your toes while wearing a salon-created nail, you may find that your entire nail has been ripped off since sculptured nails are made of very rigid material. KeryFlex is created by your podiatrist and moves with your feet and toes the way real nails would.

If you no longer wish to have a KeryFlex nail, Dr. Kimmel and his team can remove the artificial nail. KeryFlex is durable, but it is possible for your podiatrist to remove it.
